Initially the band was dedicated covering the blues masters such as BB King, Freddie King or Buddy Guy and spread out to other blues styles under the big blues umbrella to include soul, swing and jazz in their repertoire. Over the years, the band has had many great players including Freddie Cisneros, Roger Smith, Bob Sellani and Ray DeSylvestor, all Hall of Fame inductees or nominees and Darryl himself has been nominated for the AZBHOF 3 times over the years. This past October marks an impressive accomplishment with the 23th anniversary of Big Daddy D and the Dynamites as a continually working band! Darryl is the host of a successful weekly blues jam, 6 years and counting, at the Steel Horse Saloon in Phoenix and also co-hosts a second jam once a month. Big Daddy D and his Dynamites stay busy to this day gigging throughout Phoenix and Northern Arizona. 2 Drink minimum per guest (alcoholic or nonalcoholic).
