About Rod Mar Rod Mar learned early in his 25-year career that the strength of a photograph is its ability to tell a story, and it's his dedication to storytelling that infuses all his work. The team photographer for the Seattle Seahawks, Rod also shoots for editorial and commercial clients worldwide, including Sports Illustrated, ESPN, The Players' Tribune, NBC Sports, and Major League Soccer. Rod developed his craft over two decades as a photojournalist at The Seattle Times before going freelance in 2009. He has photographed every major sporting event in the United States as well as numerous Olympic Games. He counts the Special Olympics as one of his favorite events to photograph. Social networking is an integral part of his photography, and he provides a continuous stream of compelling images of the Seahawks through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. He also maintains the Eye on the Hawks photoblog on the team's website. Rod is a popular lecturer and workshop leader and has taught at seminars in the United States and Canada.
