Come learn how to be your own Citizen Scientist, recording with simple methods in both word and image the events in nature that you are noticing. Learn different ways to record the activities of flora and fauna by describing and/or drawing what you see and how you see it.
Participants should bring their own notebooks, pens or pencils, and/or colored pencils. We recommend bringing water and a hat. Binoculars and magnifying glasses also suggested but not required.
This experience will be led by long-time guest artist and teacher Clare Walker Leslie who has been keeping Nature Journals at Mount Auburn for over 40 years.
She teaches Nature Drawing at the Cemetery and across the country, and is the author of 14 books on observing nature: www.clarewalkerleslie.com
