This unique partnership is driving the creation of a thriving innovation ecosystem for the commercialization of carbontech—technologies that capture, convert and store carbon dioxide (CO₂) into valuable end products or services. The C2V Initiative is supported by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). Three years ago the Carbon to Value Initiative was formed as a way to unlock a new carbontech economy and bring innovative solutions to scale, all while building a collaborative new ecosystem. This year marks the C2V Initiative's third year and we’ve received a record breaking number of applications —161! Following this kick-off event, startups selected to participate in Year 3 of the Initiative will have the opportunity to work closely with the Carbontech Leadership Council, an invitation-only group of executive leaders across diverse industry sectors driving the future of carbontech. Year 3 of the C2V Initiative builds on two successful years (Cohort 1; Cohort 2) that led to partnerships, technology advancement, and industry growth. At this event, attendees will hear from industry experts and hear pitches from this year's carbontech startup finalists.
