For some of us, negative experiences with organized religion may have left us feeling disillusioned or hurt, making us hesitant to explore spirituality in any form. We might feel like we don't want to be a part of a structured religious institution or that we are hesitant to trust any religious figure.On the other hand, some of us might be curious about spirituality and want to explore it, but we may not feel comfortable going to a church or religious organization. We may want to know more about different spiritual practices or philosophies, but we don't want to feel pressured to conform to any particular belief system.If you can relate to any of these feelings, I want you to know that you are not alone. Trauma with religion or church can be a challenging experience to work through, but it doesn't have to mean that you have to give up on spirituality altogether. There are many different paths to spiritual fulfillment, and the journey is a personal one that you can take at your own pace.I believe that creating a safe space for people to explore spirituality is crucial. There are many ways to cultivate a deeper connection to the world around us.
