SUDBURY, MA — With the last election only a few months behind us, it's time to start looking forward to Sudbury's spring 2021 election.
The Sudbury Town Clerk last week began accepting nomination papers for candidates. There are a dozen seats up for election in 2021 across eight town boards, plus the Town Moderator and Lincoln-Sudbury School Committee races.
This year, there are two seats on the Sudbury Select Board up for election. Incumbents Daniel Carty and Select Board Chair Janie Dretler said this week they will both run for another three-year term.

Seat held by Tatiana VitvitskyThe 2021 town election will be held on March 29. Candidate packets will be available at the clerk's office through Feb. 4, and the deadline to return them is Feb. 8. The last day to register to vote will be March 9, and the clerk is encouraging residents to register online.
In 2020, the state allowed everyone to vote by mail due to the coronavirus pandemic. Those rules expire on March 31, which means Sudbury voters will still be able to vote by mail instead of going to the polls.
