White Mountain Toastmasters https://5122.toastmastersclubs.org/ is celebrating twenty years on May 17 with an Open House and special guest speaker Zooming in from California. We welcome everyone to join our celebration, at the Common Man or on Zoom. Doors open at 6 PM, and the meeting starts at 6:30. Contact us for a private Zoom invitation. Keynote speaker Angeli Fitch is a voice actor and attorney living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her voice has been described as authentic, confident and compassionate. When she is not in her vocal booth, she enjoys playing the piano and is working on her first children’s book! Fitch belongs to two Toastmasters clubs: eCommunicators in San Bruno, CA and San Francisco Storytellers. After hearing from Fitch, members and guests will enjoy a model Toastmasters meeting that will include prepared speeches, Table Topics™ (impromptu speeches) and evaluations. Club Education Vice President, Bill Powers, who has served in various club positions, will be the Table Topics master. “Table Topics is one of my favorite parts of the meeting,” says Powers. “This is where guests and members are invited to speak for one to two minutes on a given topic. It helps us learn to think on our feet and speak clearly.” Light refreshments will be served and dinners may be ordered from Fosters Boiler Room to be eaten during the meeting.
