RUN/WALK For Mental Health Awareness hosted by OC FASHION WEEK® on Friday, May 19th On Feb 24, 2018 OC Fashion Week® registered fun loving Natalia Catalini aka "Catastic" on her instagram, she was casted as a runway model and 6 months later she took her own life -- all too soon. The struggles with depression, anxiety, mental illness and loneliness are sometimes undetectable especially when a cry for help is needed. OC Fashion Week® has partnered with Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services as a new charity spotlight, which provides year-round resources available to all for mental health, substance use, and suicide prevention. On Friday, May 19, OC Fashion Week® will host its first RUN / WALK 3k Tribute for Charity to support Mental Health Awareness Month this May. Join Us and make a pledge for someone you care about, walk for awareness, or run with friends. Efforts to raise funds will benefit charity Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services a non-profit organization that has been serving those most in need and least able to pay for 80 years. Registration received by May 1, 2023, will receive a free T-Shirt. Make a Pledge to Walk for Awareness: Walk for a Friend, Walk for Self-love, Friendship, Body and Mind Walk for Mental Awareness. As a pioneer in suicide prevention and crisis care for all ages, Didi Hirsch is home to the nation’s first and largest Suicide Prevention Center, leads the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline across California, operates the national Teen Line, is one of several operators for the national Disaster Distress Helpline and partners with the Los Angeles Police Department to divert mental health crisis calls from 911. The Suicide Prevention Center serves as a model of care internationally and provides outpatient therapy and crisis counseling, support groups for survivors of suicide loss and suicide attempts and suicide prevention training for the community.
