Attendees will hear and experience the historical beginnings of Juneteenth celebrations, why Americans celebrate today with national and state holiday recognition, and opportunities to get involved with GVL Juneteenth this year. Panelists: The Honorable South Carolina House Representative Chandra Dillard, Dr. Rhonda Robinson Thomas, a Calhoun Lemon Professor of Literature at Clemson University, Ruben Hayes, CEO and Founder of Juneteenth GVL, and Vandavid Vernon,VP Juneteenth GVL.
