Belcourt has a long, interesting history with the paranormal. Alva Belmont brought an occultist to the house numerous times and was infatuated with the spiritualism of the early Victorian days. The Tinney family once hired a famous medium to help discover the ghosts of their long-running ghost tours. At one point, Belcourt was considered one of the most haunted houses in Newport. While this tour doesn't guarantee a sighting of a spook, specter, or free-floating ghost, we will guide you through the house at dusk (or later) and tell you many of the ghost stories and sightings that make Belcourt so fascinating.
