Many consider their brand a marketing tool to be used primarily for marketing campaigns. But a strong brand expresses an organization’s purpose, values, and unique points of difference, which is a matter not just for the Marketers of the group, but the entire Leadership Team. Strong brands act as a lighthouse, providing strategic direction and focus that can help channel organizational energy, inspire you/your teams, attract business and even galvanize your community - ultimately creating greater business impact, more efficiently. During our time together, we will focus on the five key building blocks - target consumer, key distinctive equities, core values, brand persona, purpose - critical to building a strong brand over time. Eriko Clevenger PopeCEO of Katalyst STLEriko Clevenger Pope is currently CEO of Katalyst STL, providing strategic advisory services to nonprofits and entrepreneurs. She has held senior executive marketing positions for 20 years, most recently as the Head of Global Marketing for Nestle Purina PetCare Worldwide, a $13B business in over 50 countries. She is also currently serving as the Executive Director for the NISA Charitable Fund and as a Faculty Impact Advisor for Washington University’s Center for Experiential Learning. She has a BSBA/BA from Washington University and MBA from The Wharton School. She is active in several nonprofit boards including Concordance Academy, St. Louis Public Radio, Saint Louis Fashion Fund and the John Burroughs School.
