Join us to distribute 100 trees to residents in Mendota Heights who ordered a tree through this tree sale. You will use your creative thinking skills to fit six-foot trees into vehicles! This tree pick-up event is great for families, friends, and small corporate groups looking for team building activities! This event does require some lifting with a few spots available for administrative (non-lifting) positions. We will send you an email reminder one week before the event. Requirements: Register – All volunteers must register for the event through Eventbrite.Provided – Tree Trust provides gloves and snacks. Bring - Refillable water bottle for staying hydrated!Wear – Weather appropriate clothing and sturdy closed-toe shoes. What to expect on site: Check in with Tree Trust staff to get a name tag, gloves, and information on where you'll be stationed. Unloading/Loading Tasks:Help Tree Trust staff unload the truck from the tree nursery and get the trees arranged for pick up!Help residents load pre-purchased trees and bags of mulch into their vehicles. Try to avoid wearing your favorite t-shirt as this task can be pretty messy if the trees have been freshly watered. Trees are heavy, so we ask you remember to lift with your legs, not with your back!
