Immigration is in the news. How can Christians think about immigration and immigrants in ways shaped by the Bible? Why is our immigration system so broken? What is going on with immigration related stories in Massillon locally? Christy Staats is a former missionary of 16 years who has spent time in Afghanistan, Europe and other interesting spaces. She's a consultant with the Bibles, Badges, and Business project of the National Immigration Forum and speaks regularly on behalf of the coalition of the Evangelical Immigration Table. She'll talk about how we got here, engage with questions from the border, to the global refugee crisis, to questions of economics and security, and most importantly engage with Scripture. She is finishing her MA in Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Loves dogs and hiking in the CVNP with her cocker spaniel. Faith Community Fellowship is offering this as a community event for Massillon with folks welcome who come from all walks of life.
