Come out for an eventful day of drag, mimosas, brunch, and karaoke. You’ll even have the chance to raffle your way to win a one-on-one with Common Council Candidate for Masten District: India Walton, a one-on-one with organizer Leighton Jones, or a makeup tutorial and shopping day with the queen herself: Vanna Deux. The morning will start off with brunch at 11am, followed by drag performances at 1230pm. We’ll end the day with karaoke starting at 2pm! General admission is $25 in advance or $30 the day of. About OCAB: Our City Action Buffalo (OCAB) is as grassroots as it gets. Ran by volunteers who are Buffalo residents, OCAB grew out of anti-gentrification work in 2017. Since then, we’ve championed progressive politicians across local government (India Walton for Mayor, Kathryn Franco for Common Council, Jen Mecozzi for School Board), as well as led city-wide efforts in the name of equity, democracy, and transparency (the Fight for Fair Maps, ShotSpotter). In coalition with many others, OCAB has built the infrastructure to be able to endorse and run School Board members, Common Council candidates, and support a movement of progressive, forward-thinking candidates who will work with and for the people of Buffalo and represent their interests. We firmly believe in building a more equitable and racially just Buffalo. Buffalo is our city, and we have every right to it.
