LEMON U (LEMONADE DAY UNIVERSITY) is a fun, interactive, brainstorming event for our young entrepreneurs who are serious about their Lemonade Day business and want to be successful on the big day in Lomita on July 22, 2023! During the one-hour workshops, we will conduct an overview of the lessons for young entrepreneurs to start thinking about the logistics to help their business. Role playing and activities catered to age groups will allow youth time to interact with each other as they work on the plans for the business. Graduate certificates for kids who complete all four Lemon U sessions. Lemon U starts May 10 and will be held once per month leading up to Lemonade Day Lomita. LEMON U SESSIONS: Wednesday, May 10th | 6pm to 7pm SESSION 1: Being an Entrepreneur, Business Planning, How to Pitch for Micro Loans, Setting Goals Wednesday, June 7th | 6pm to 7pm SESSION 2: Make a Plan: Stand Location/Sweet Spot Selection, Marketing, Business & Health Dept. Licenses Wednesday, July 12th | 6pm to 7pm SESSION 3: Make a Plan: Budgeting, Running the Business, Tips for Success Before the Big Day Wednesday, July 26th | 6pm to 7pm SESSION 4: Achieve Your Dreams: Business Results & Accounting, Reflections & Future Plans, Graduation! Location: Community Room (24200 Narbonne Ave, Lomita, CA 90717) Lemon U is available to registered Lemonade Day Lomita youth entrepreneurs Lemonade Day Lomita is Coming July 22, 2023! Lemonade Day is a fun, experiential program that teaches kids how to start, own and operate their very own business: a lemonade stand. The program builds self-reliance and financial literacy, and introduces important business & entrepreneurial skills. Children experience a new level of confidence and see new possibilities for their future as leaders, volunteers, and forward-thinking citizens.
