Quincy Police Seize 5 Firearms, 18 Kilos Of Narcotics In Search

QUINCY, MA — The Quincy Police Drug Control Unit seized five firearms and approximately 18 kilograms of narcotics during the execution of five search warrants Monday, according to the Quincy Police Department. The findings follow a month-long investigation into a drug trafficking organization operating in multiple South Shore communities, said police. Four search warrants took place in Quincy and one in Weymouth. As a result of the search warrants, officers found four handguns with extended magazines, one possible machine gun with a silencer attached, $384,000 in cash, approximately 18 kilograms of cocaine, fentanyl, and crack cocaine with a value of $750,000, and 11 pounds of maijuana with a value of $22,000, said police. Eight individuals were arrested as a result of the investigation, according to police, including Aderito Amado, 30, of Brockton, Johnathan Abreu, 20, of Taunton, Chaasad Cyprien, 20, of Oxford, Neylton Fontes, 33, of Brockton, Celsidonio Gonsalves, 19, of Fall River, Anisha Lopes, 20, of Weymouth, Leonardo Monteiro, 20, of Brockton, and Erica Vieira, 24, of Brockton. Those involved in the drug trafficking are facing charges including trafficking over 200 grams of cocaine, trafficking over 200 grams of fentanyl, possession of a machine gun, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession with intent to distribute Class B, use of a firearm in a felony, possessing a firearm without an FID card, possession with intent to distribute Class D, and improperly secured firearms. This incident remains under investigation and no further information has been released.
