This event is being hosted by the African American Farmers of California and is the first of several upcoming events that are part of our California Department of Food and Agriculture Beginner Farmer and Farm Worker Training Program Planning Grant (link). AAFC is currently engaged in a planning process to envision the future of both the organization and its programming and is prioritizing the community in Fresno - that means YOU - in this planning process. We hope this event will allow AAFC to share its history/herstory as well as where the organization is at currently (its existing projects/programs) and also for you to provide feedback on this as well as what you envision for how you would like to engage with AAFC, their beginner farmer training program as well as the demonstration farm site.
