Thanks to Citizens Tri-County Bank, American Farmland Trust, Hungry for Community (a project of the Grundy Area Arts Council), Patagonia Nashville, the South Cumberland Regional Land Trust and Jumpoff Community Land Trust, Rooted Here, Double A Farm, Carolyn Hoagland, Cove Creek Farm, Sequatchie Cove Farm, Sequatchie Cove Creamery, Feathers and Fruit, Summer Fields, the Marugg Company, Lodge Cast Iron, Lunch, and Stewards Unlimited for making this possible! Southeast TN Young Farmers Coalition has been working hard since 2019 to build a supportive community for young and beginning farmers and part of that is having a little bit of fun at Cove Creek Farm in Monteagle! Join us for our inaugural FARM OLYMPICS! Attendees may participate in, or simply watch, a variety of farm-related sporting events, such as speed transplanting, a two person temporary fence moving race, and a plant identification knowledge test, and a pie competition. There will also be kids events and a multi-generational egg toss. (When you get your tickets select the free add-on to be a participant and we'll send you more details about the events). Also, Cove Creek Farm has a ton of free play options in their newly opened agri-tourism venue extravaganza! After the Olympic games there will be live music, a silent auction fundraiser featuring amazing products from area farms and restaurants,a Pig Roast picnic featuring Cove Creek Pork, and a bonfire. Please bring sunscreen and hats, bug spray, water bottles, lawn chairs and blankets as well as musical instruments for later in the evening if that's your thing. Primitive camping on site is available if you are coming from far away.
