Fundraising events are often vital to a nonprofit organization’s fundraising plan and overall budget. Learn strategies and ideas to create an experience your donors will remember and results you won’t forget! Maddi Currier, Associate Athletic Director for Development at USC Upstate, speaks on how to curate a donor centric experience while achieving your goals at your next fundraising event. Lunch will be provided. This event is in-person at the Robert Hett Chapman III Center for Philanthropy located at 431 E. Kennedy St in Spartanburg. About our Presenter: Maddi Currier, CFRE, is a fundraiser with experience in formalizing systems, events, and campaigns to ensure a donor-centric experience. She currently serves as Associate Athletic Director for Development at USC Upstate, spearheading fundraising efforts for Spartan Athletics. Prior to her time at USC Upstate, Currier served as Director of Development at Hope Center for Children, leading all development efforts for the organization, and serving as a member of the senior leadership team. Prior to being named Director of Development, she served as Development Associate for 4 years. During her time at HCFC, Currier energized the organization’s signature events, created the annual Giving Tuesday and “Hope for the Holidays” campaigns, and grew total fundraising efforts to more than $1.6 million annually. Currier received a Diverse Scholar award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals (National) in 2020 and serves on the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ SC Piedmont Chapter Board. She earned a Master of Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida (‘16) and is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE). A middle Tennessee native, Currier is a proud alumna of Converse University (’13) where she played basketball. She lives in Spartanburg with her wife, Jenni (Russell), and their two dogs.
