Join us June 24th for an electric night as we celebrate the man, the myth, the legend, Prince. 🎸 Featuring The Sauce, Drifters Mile, Ditch Lily, Jim & Melissa Rea, Adam Johnston Band, Lacoma Jefferson-Bass, Kicking Jacksie and Brian Pitts, covering your favorite Prince classics (and a few obscure ones as well) in their own style. Doors open at 12pm. The show starts at 4pm. Tickets ($15 tickets Presale/$20 day of) to benefit Ujima Language & Literacy's mission to connect, empower and advocate for children and families in pursuit of their highest level of literacy. For Ujima, LITERACY IS POWER and the ability to read and write proficiently captures a snapshot of literacy, but not the whole picture. Literacy is the cornerstone of development and shapes the way we think and live in our society. Literacy is Ujima's gateway for building stronger networks of support for underserved families seeking community. Therefore, literacy is the ability to understand and navigate all types of literacies in the following domains: health, digital, financial, civic, numerical, media, and cultural. Ujima generates community support for family literacy nights, literacy summer camp, parental advocacy programming and stakeholder education and we are proud to contribute a small part to their journey We hope to further Prince’s legacy by honoring and advocating for an organization we hope would inspire him as much as he inspired us through his work with TheDreamCorps and #YesWeCode..
