FSQ is a six person team that covers soul, funk, disco and house music in their original and remix productions. FSQ released their debut album "Reprise Tonight" on Soul Clap Records in 2020 with keystone funk artists George Clinton, Nona Hendryx, Fonda Rae and more making guest appearances. Most recently, a remix version of the album was released, "Reprise Reprise Tonight" with new takes by disco mix inventor Tom Moulton, Italo disco kings Birdee and DJ Rocca, the funky Ray Mang, Brooklyn's own Jitwam and more. FSQ DJ sets are helmed by the group's leader, Chuck Da Fonk, and extend into some of the funkiest corners of dance music, where you'll hear deep Balearic grooves, rare P-Funk sides, 80s boogie funk, uncommon new wave 12"s, and modern underground house cuts. With FSQ's next album "Nightlife Geography" already in production, plus a long line of remixes in the can, Chuck's DJ sets also hit your ear with plenty of original FSQ music you won't hear anywhere else. You can find Chuck Da Fonk's diverse selections presented every Thursday on Brooklyn based The Face Radio from 3-6pm ET. Although he acknowledges that DJs often play other people's music, his sets sound like a cohesive and harmonious song that reflects his personal style. With a musical style that transcends genres, Bain has explored the vast and diverse landscapes of house, techno, indie, and trip-hop, and created a sound that is uniquely his own. For Bain, the success of a DJ set is not measured by the number of people on the dance floor, but by the impact he has on even just one person. However, most of his listeners are entranced by his music for the duration of his set. His sonic language has the power to heal the heartbroken, energize the weekend warriors, enlighten the lost, and charm everyone else. Bain's passion for music extends beyond his DJing career. He has an extensive collection of 12"s, LPs, and 45s, which he continues to expand. His vast knowledge of music hints at an insatiable thirst for the universal language of music. Regardless of the genre he plays, whether it's hip-hop, heartfelt house, or the quickened pace of techno, Bain's sets always leave the audience wanting more. His music creates a gentle let-down, but there is never a conclusion. He is a storyteller, and every set is a new chapter in the story that his audience is eager to experience.
