Versiti Blood Center of Michigan is hosting a open interviews at our Gaylord Donor Center. We love what we do, and we’re looking for passionate individuals to join our team in Grand Rapids!! POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Donor Specialist - Mobiles (Starts at $17/hr. + with experience evening and weekend differrentials available available full medical/dental/ vision/ matching 401k. Skill based % increases offered for advanced phlebotomy skills training *All positions are FULL-TIME and require open availability between 4:00am-10:00pm. Hours are Determined by hours of blood drives, same 5 days on 2 days off. Days of availability Tuesday-Saturday and Sunday-Thursday Start Date June 12th Address: 133 W Main St STE #101, Gaylord, MI 49735 Date and Time: Wednesday May 17th from 1:00pm-4:00pm Candidates will receive a link to register for the event and must register for a specific one-hour time slot. Please plan to be on-site for 1 hour (the 1-hour slot includes a tour of the donor center and the mobile bus.) Please bring a copy of your resume. What you can expect in this position: We like to think of our phlebotomists as the friendliest vampires you’ll ever meet. We train all of our phlebotomists in the techniques that will help them advance their careers in health care, while working with a compassionate and mission-driven group of professionals. To get you started on your journey with us, we begin with an eight-week training program. This includes a total of eight weeks of both classroom training and mentorship with an established phlebotomist. What you will do: • Perform accurate medical interviewing • Determine donor eligibility • Perform venipunctures/draw blood • Ensure donor and recipient safety • Load, unload, and event set up What you will need for this position: • Valid Driver’s License and Reliable mode of transportation. • High School Diploma or GED. • Availability from 4am-10pm – Schedules provided 3 weeks in advance. • Must be willing to submit to a Drug Screen, Background Check, and Driving Record Check.
