The Magic City Grill Fest is a culinary festival and grilling competition for enthusiasts of superior high-quality barbecue. The 4th Annual Magic City Grill Fest will take place in the Village of Colon, Michigan on Saturday, June 17th, 2023 from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Teams of no more than four cooks will compete in three of four rounds featuring ribs, chicken, beef waygu sliders or an open category. Team entry fee is $100.00 and includes your ribs, chicken, and waygu ground beef. Teams provide their spices, marinades, toppings (and ingrediants for the open round) and this year it's BYOG. That's right, Bring Your Own Grills!! Teams are permitted to bring up to two grills or smokers so long as they are NOT propane or require electricity. Grills must use charcoal briquettes, hardwood lump charcoal and smoking woods for flavor. Hey, this is real deal barbecue!
