WHO Current offerings are open to trans + cis women, trans men, genderqueer and non-binary folks. Our classes are closed to cisgender men. Participants must be 18+. WHAT: SUMMER LAB LEVEL 1: June 1-June 22 (Level 2 coming in July!) Want to learn the basics of fitness skating & roller dance? Summer Lab Level 1 is for you! During this 4 week session, skaters will learn and practice: Standing, striding and stopping on roller skatesSkating in close proximity to others with comfort and controlAgility, endurance & overall fitness on skatesRoller dance basicsSUMMER LAB LEVEL 2 coming in July! Summer Lab level 2 will build on the skills & fitness of level 1, with intermediate level lessons & drills. Summer Lab 2 dates: July 6, 13, 20, 27 DO I NEED TO BE GOOD AT ROLLER SKATING? WHAT SKILLS ARE REQUIRED TO JOIN? Summer Lab is the perfect opportunity to build confidence and skills on roller skates! Performance and skill level are not important to us - safety is. For Summer Lab level 1 it is recommended that participants are able to confidently stand & roll forward on skates. We'll teach you the rest! WHERE Happy Wheels Skate Center, 3 Chabot Street, Westbrook ME WHEN: SUMMER LAB LEVEL 1 WEEKLY CLASSES Thursday evenings beginning 6/1/23 4 class session 5:30-7:30 pm $72 Class Dates: June 1, 8, 15, 22 WHAT GEAR IS REQUIRED FOR THIS SESSION? (CLICK HERE FOR SPECIFIC SKATE RECS AND DISCOUNTS!) QUAD ROLLER SKATES (derby/speed, dance or whatever you're comfortable in! No inlines) HELMET KNEE PADS WRIST GUARDS I CAN’T MAKE ALL OF THE CLASSES. DO YOU ALLOW DROP-INS? We do not allow drop ins. The flat fee for access to Summer Lab Level 1 is $72. Come when you can - you’re sure to learn and improve! REQUIRED: READ THE REFUND AND CREDIT POLICY. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO CONFIRM YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF THIS POLICY. Refunds are only granted before the session begins. Refunds incur a $15 service fee. All other requests will be processed as credits and will adhere to the guidelines provided below - no exceptions.Refunds for the full cost of class registration fees will be granted to requests PRIOR to the first class of the session.Full Refunds requested PRIOR TO the session start incur a $15 service fee.
