The wines of Barnard Griffin pull significant inspiration from the wines of France, and from the Rhone Valley in particular. In this class, we'll explore the signature red and white grape varieties of the Rhone, winemaking styles, geography, and a bit of history. As we learn, we'll taste through five wines, comparing two of Barnard Griffin's Rhone-inspired wines from Washington State and a California Rhone red blend with two shining examples from the Rhone Valley.
This class will be led by Afton Kortz, Barnard Griffin's Wine Club Manager, who is a certified French Wine Scholar and also holds a Level 3 certification in Wines from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET).
Tickets are $50 for Barnard Griffin wine club members and $55 for non-members.
