*This is a few days after the New Moon, but we will be honoring the New Moon in Gemini with this sound bathWhenMay 24th | Arrive anytime between 7:30 & 8:20 | Sound bath will begin promptly at 8:30 pm and entry will no longer be permitted as to not disrupt the ceremony. WhereThe Municipal Light Plant (the building with the giant yellow Columbus Crew smokestack) 589 W Nationwide Blvd, Columbus, OH 43215 Parking can be found in the LAZ parking lot next to the Powerplant building (shared building left of the MLP) There is also street parking. Enter the MLP from the far side entrance just past the main doors. What to bringBring what you would like to lay on during the ceremony. i.e. yoga mat, pillow, padding, blanket, etc. A blanket is encouraged because of the variability of the temperature in the room. Everyone has different preferences and we want you to be comfortable. Bring a journal and pen so you can use the journal prompts provided at the door, reflect on anything that is brought up during the ceremony, or to write down any messages that come through for you. We will have a space where you can place objects you would like to be charged with the energy of the night. (please nothing large, small items preferred like crystals, jewelry, bones, etc.) *If you forget an object at the charging station - we have a lost and found. Please email [email protected] if you need to recover lost property from one of our events.There are a series of stations set up around h0m to accompany you during your experience. These stations include prayer candles/lamps, oracle decks to choose from, individual tarot cards, a burn box (Full Moon only), and more being added regularly. These stations may not suit everyone's intentions or practice, so please don't feel pressured or obligated to participate in using them. Artist & Writers AreaWe have a comfortable section where artists and writers can sit and create during the sound bath. You are encouraged to bring your own art supplies, but there are a variety of art supplies provided if not including coloring books and colored pencils. This section is limited and requires the purchase of an artist and writers ticket. Information for those sensitive or potentially allergic to sensory tools involved in the ceremony: The ceremony will involve the mild burning of herbal bundles and incense. A variety of colors will be used for the lighting as well as projectors (Full Moon ceremonies only). We have eye masks available to help block out any additional or distracting lighting during the ceremony. This being a sound bath - there will be a wide range of aural stimuli from singing bowls and piano to organic and synthetic ambient textures. Please let us know if at any point it is too loud by raising your hand during the ceremony. If any of this information changes, it will be mentioned at the start of the sound bath. SafetyOccasionally Sound Baths can bring up some deep feelings or thoughts that can be a lot to process in the moment. We have an on hand licensed therapist in case a feeling or thought needs some extra space to care for it.
