Learn how to make a durable and beautiful braided rug made out of recycled fabric scraps in this craft class. Hampstead resident and environmental enthusiast, Jess King, will instruct on how to make a rug for your own home. You will leave this class with a rug-in-progress and the skillset to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. This class is sponsored by the Hampstead Recycling & Waste Disposal Committee and is offered to residents and non-residents at no charge. The class is limited to the first 10 people to register. Kids over 12 are welcome with a parent. If you have old sheets, blankets, shirts, etc – bring these items. If you don’t have any, we will provide starter materials.
