In this medicine making event, students will have the opportunity to learn about the medicinal qualities of the herbs in their home or local grocery store. Together, Margot and students will spend an exciting 1 1/2 hours going through 10 seminal, inexpensive, and powerful herbs that can be worked with in a number of physical and emotional interventions, and will walk away having made their very own formulas and preparations in the form of tinctures, loose teas, infused oils, or infused honeys.
This class is for interested students and community care providers of all levels. This class will also come with supplemental handouts for students, including a Materia Medica and Medicine Making guide on all of the herbs discussed in class. Students will be required to bring TWO of their own mason jars to take home herbal preparations (12-24 oz. recommended).
This class is taught in collaboration with Sage Green Botanicals Apothecary, located in Turner Falls, MA. For more information on Sage Green Botanicals including location, services, and contact information, find them at their website, https://www.sagegreenbotanicals.me .
