Happy Mothers Day! Sunday, May 14, from 11:30 am-1 pm Learn & Make Workshop Amate, from the Nahuatl word amatl (paper), is a type of craft paper made from processed bark with the feel of fiber. In the Mexica Empire important everyday life events were recorded on amate & used to pass along messages and for rituals.
