Bring the outdoors to your children - sign up for Scandinavian Summer Camp!This year SSCC offers an outdoor Summer Camp during June 20 - 23 (The school is closed on Monday June 19 in observance of Juneteenth) The camp run between 9AM - 4 PM and is open for children 6- 8 years old. Pick-up and drop-off will take place at the Scandinavian School, which will serve as our home base and launching point for exploration and investigation of San Francisco’s local plants and animals. We will travel via public transportation to begin each day with a vigorous hike through a different nearby location such as Mt. Davidson, Golden Gate Park, or Twin Peaks. As we hike, we’ll identify flora and fauna, play games, challenge our physical skills, and enjoy scavenger hunts, all while strengthening our Scandinavian language skills. We will provide an organic, vegetarian picnic lunch and snacks and will return to school in time for some reflection and time caring for the school garden and chickens. Please note, the program is fully immersion and students should come with knowledge of one Scandinavian language. Sorry, no refunds are offered.
