The Bearden-Josey Women’s Cycling Team is sponsoring once a month WE ride event in the heart of Downtown Spartanburg! Our goal is to help create more community among women cyclists and to encourage those who want to rekindle their love of bike riding. Our team will provide mentoring as you master new skills and connect you with cycling friends and resources. From learning how to change your gears, anti-chaffing secrets, and drinking from a water bottle while riding… to more advanced skills like changing tires, cornering, and riding in a pace line… we have a little something for everyone. It's a chance to ride at your pace with women and experience the joy of cycling. Our rides begin at the VCOM campus and the Butterfly Greenway portion of the Dan Trail System. Best of all, you can practice new skills in a traffic-free environment. Guaranteed fun and a chance weekly to win some awesome giveaways! This ride is open to Women Only, 18+ years (sorry no minors allowed ), and you can ride any type of bike. A helmet is also required safety equipment.
