NRA Rifle Instructor Course Prerequisites : If you need the prerequisites call us at 951 544-9190 Successfully completed NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Class as a student. Successfully completed NRA BIT (NRA Basic Instructor Training) in the previous 24 months . Goal of this course: To develop NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Course for students. Course Includes: Classroom and Range time learning the knowledge and skills needed to teach the sport of shooting rifles. Role-playing is a major part of an instructor course. Instructor Candidates take turns working in teams conducting portions of the course to other candidates who portray basic students. Instructor candidates will learn how to teach the NRA rules for safe gun handling, rifle parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development.
