Hello, First I would like to thank you for showing interest in our training camp! My name is Asi’Nique Spence. I am the program director and head coach of this program. Going on my 2nd year of being a substitute teacher with Leon County Schools, and I also have a great knowledge of the sport, volleyball, from being a captain on my middle school volleyball team and a great asset to my high school team. I created this program to give young girls a hobby to keep busy during the summer and outside of school. Growing up in a city away from home, I didn’t have many family. I found a love in the sport because it was fun, kept me busy, and helped me make friends. I enjoy working with the kids I meet during the school year and want to continue being a mentor for them year-round. This is a youth volleyball training camp for girls ages 9-13 years. We will meet every Saturday for 8 weeks, to train and learn the sport of volleyball. At the end of the program, players will be split into teams for an indoor tournament event for family and friends. The girls will learn what it’s like to be apart of a team and work as a team player. We will have events outside of training for the girls to stay engaged and have fun, including a private movie night at the AMC, and a family and friends picnic where we’ll have food, games, and a dj. All girls will be provided their own volleyball bag, volleyball, knee/elbow pads, a practice uniform, and a tournament uniform. They will also be fed and kept hydrated during each practice.
