Join park volunteer, Larry Stephens, to learn more about the native plants and the park's pollinator garden. Larry will share about native plants as we make our way down BMRR South to the pollinator garden. There he will share more about the garden and the work he's doing to restore it. Please be prepared for a 3 mile walk and bring water for the walk. It is roughly 1.5 miles on a flat path to the garden and 1.5 miles back to the entrance. This event is free for Red Mountain Park members and a $5 donation for non-members ages 5 and up. Please register if you plan on attending.
Where: Meet at the park's Frankfurt Drive entrance, 2011 Frankfurt Drive, Birmingham, AL 35211
When: Saturday, June 17th, 9 A.M. - 10:30 A.M.
Larry Stephens is a native of West Birmingham and an outdoor enthusiast who has spent years volunteering at local parks and green spaces. As he cleared his own land and volunteered, he began to identify, research, learn and appreciate more about native plants and flowers.
