Come experience a thrilling adventure for the entire family! People today are “plugged in” to all sorts of things: sports, video games, music, AR (augmented reality), social media, and more, but few are really plugged in to God’s power! We panic when we lose electricity and can’t charge our phones, watch our shows, cook our meals, or other eternally trivial things, but, like Samson after his long locks of hair were cut, we don’t seem to notice when the power of God is missing in our lives. Have we become complacent toward the things of God? Do we allow our peers or fears to dictate what is important to us? Countless others are looking to things that are powerless to bring them joy and hope in the midst of their sorrow and despair, not knowing that true happiness is only found through a relationship with Jesus Christ. We don’t have power over our spheres, peers, tears, fears, or years, but here’s the good news—God does! He is our “strength and power”! (2 Samuel 22:33) When even one child internalizes that truth and decides to trust in Him, who knows what will happen! This is our goal—to find that child and introduce him or her to the only One who can supply the power! It’s time we get plugged in to what really matters! It’s time power—God’s power—was restored! Let’s work together to help this generation get plugged into God’s power today! VBS WITH THE MERRILL EVANGELISTIC TEAM The Merrill Evangelistic Team (MET) is a faith-based ministry dedicated to helping people find hope and encouragement through powerful gospel presentations, inspiring music, and valuable resources. This dynamic, 13-member team is led by Evangelist Randy Merrill, who has been traveling in ministry full time with his family since 1992. When you hear “A MET VBS,” you might wonder what makes it different from any other Vacation Bible School. As one man said, “VBS with the MET isn’t just VBS. It’s a VBS adventure!” We, like Howard Hendricks, believe “it is a sin to bore people with the Gospel!” Through drama, music, unique sets, lighting, sound effects, and more, our goal is to engage the audience with the truths of the Bible so they leave wanting to learn more about God and His Word. In the last 30 years, the MET has teamed up with churches across America to lead over 250 weeks of VBS. We do not have all the answers or claim to have a corner on VBS, but we have achieved, by God’s grace and hard work, a systematic “live” program that powerfully communicates God’s truth, captivates students (and adults), and has resulted in hundreds coming to Christ. ElectriCity has been specifically designed to incorporate a variety of techniques in order to meet each child’s individual learning style(s) and needs – visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic. Luke 2:52 says that, as Jesus grew, He “increased in wisdom (scholastically) and stature (structurally), and in favor with God (spiritually) and man (socially).” This verse has served as our model during the creation and production of ElectriCity.
