Yoga has been popularized by only one element of the practice-- the physical asanas.
A true yoga practice includes strengthening the awareness of connection between: Self, Others & The World Around You. This 4 class series is designed for ages 9-13 and focuses on creating community and fostering mindfulness through sensory exploration, movement, journaling, meditation, art and discussion. Each session tween yogis leave with a take home craft to carry the theme of the day on with them to their day to day lives. We will be using our 5 senses as a basis for this more holistic form of yoga exploration and also fulfilling all 5 requirements of the Cadette Girl Scout Science of Happiness Badge.
→ May 23 & 30; June 6 & 13. Tuesdays @ 4:30-6pm. What do participants need to bring: yoga mat, journal, water, snacks
