Civil Service Entry-Level Firefighter Examination: Open Application is November 1, 2023
“Fit and Informed” is a classroom presentation intended to help improve an applicants’ performance on the 2023 Civil Service Entry-Level Firefighter Examination. The session will go over test taking tips, preparation strategies, and communication techniques for all three phases of the Civil Service Entry-Level Firefighter Examination. In addition, applicants will be given an overview of the steps involved in the selection and hiring processes. Outlined below are the three testing areas applicants should be prepared to discuss.
Phase I: Multiple-Choice Written Examination
Phase II: Firefighter Oral Assessment Mechanism (FOAM)
Phase III: Firefighter Mile Physical Assessment
Applicants that do not have previous Fire or EMS experience tend to benefit the most from attending the session. This free event is not mandatory, and will not give preference points to applicants.
Applicants must reserve a ticket prior to the event, and bring a state-issued photo ID to enter.
