Please join the AIHA Eastern Upstate NY Local Section for a meeting on Wednesday, May 31st at the SUNY Poly Albany NanoTech Complex. All are welcome to attend, including AIHA members and friends on our email distribution list. However, attendance will be capped at 18 individuals. Please see the information below and pay particular attention to the site ID requirements and additional forms needed for non-US citizens. Topic: Semiconductor Manufacturing Safety Presenters: Robert Knazik, CIH, CSP Laurie Vivekanand, CIH Applied Materials Meeting Description: Part 1 - Robert Knazik and Laurie Vivekanand will provide an overview of semiconductor manufacturing industry safety and lead a tour of the Materials Engineering Technology Accelerator (META Center) Part 2 – The meeting will adjourn to Hana Japanese Steakhouse, where local semiconductor safety professionals will facilitate a Q&A discussion over dinner. Dinner will be self-pay with separate checks issued to each attendee. Costs: Part 1 – No cost to attendees Part 2 - Separate checks will be issued for the cost of dinner at Hana. Each attendee will be responsible for paying the cost of their own food and drink. RSVP: Please by noon on May 26th if you plan to attend. Non-US citizens will need to respond by noon on May 15th in order to allow time for additional paperwork and site review processes. Agenda: Part 1 - CNSE 4:30 PM – Meet at CNSE NanoFab East (NFE) Lobby (see directions/parking info below) 5-5:30 PM - Presentation 5:30-6:15 PM – Window Tour of Applied Materials META Center. The tour will allow us to view the manufacturing and subfab spaces, but we will not be gowning up and entering the cleanroom. Part 2 – Hana 6:30-8 PM – Semiconductor Safety Q&A Discussion, facilitated by local semiconductor safety professionals Visitor Information: All CNSE visitors must be escorted at all times. All escorted visitors must present a driver's license, non-driver’s license, or passport at the time of check-in at the Nanofab East (NFE) rotunda. If there are any non-US Persons in the group a non-US Persons form needs to be completed by the sponsor 10 business days prior to the visit. If the visitor is a non-US Person that possesses a Permanent Resident Card (green card) the background check is not needed but the visitor must present the card when they register at the visitor desk. For individuals that 17 years of age without a driver’s license or passport will need to bring their birth certificate and social security card. The site’s badging policy and forms are located on the NY CREATES website: https://ny-creates.org/resources/ Directions To CNSE: Turn onto Tricentennial Drive from the Fuller Road Roundabout. Make your first right and park in the Visitor Parking Lot. Enter the NanoFab East (NFE) rotunda and sign-in with security. Your hosts will be waiting to claim you and escort you to the conference room. If you are running late, please text or call Laurie Vivekanand with an estimated ETA at 518-698-4135. Directions from CNSE to Hana: From CNSE, turn Left out of the Visitor’s lot to exit on Tricentennial Drive. Enter the Fuller Road roundabout and take the first exit onto Fuller Rd. Take Fuller Rd to the end at Western Avenue (Rt 20). Turn Right on Western. After 0.6 miles, turn Left into the Hana parking lot.
