AVGC Members use the gate code for a $25 discount The goal of this course is to develop NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Firearm Courses. This 6-Hour course is required within the previous 24 months of taking an NRA Certified Instructor Course. The goal of this program is to develop instructors to teach NRA Basic Firearm Training courses according to the lesson plans and training standards of the National Rifle Association. The NRA Basic Instructor Training Course is designed to teach you how to teach others using NRA lesson plans and training methods. Required Materials: Bring an empty three-ring binder This 6-Hour class is completed in the classroom. Instructor candidates will receive the NRA Basic Instructor Manual and other instructor material. Age Requirements NRA Certified Instructors must be 21 years of age or older NRA Assistant Instructors must be 18 years of age or older NRA Apprentice Instructors are 13 - 17 years of age. You pay to have the opportunity to pass and become an NRA Instructor. Classes, training and / or certification are for individuals who are not disqualified from possessing a firearm as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law.  Individuals who have been convicted of a crime of violence are disqualified.  In compliance with U.S. Federal ITAR Regulations, Student must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident with a Green Card.
