REGISTRATION 30 Teams ($100 per player) CHECK IN Players should check in with the Event Host. Please report any substitutions to the Chicken N Pickle Tournament Director. PLAYER MEETING A player meeting will be held 15 minutes prior to the start of competition. This is an opportunity for the Host to greet and thank the players, volunteers, and sponsors. The Tournament Director from Chicken N Pickle will welcome players, review the format, and invite players to start their games on the assigned courts. Players may take 5 minutes to warm up once assigned to their court. BALL CORE Pickleballs will be provided for each court. COURT ASSIGNMENTS Teams will stay on the same court for each of their 3 matches. Players will record their score on a scoresheet found at each court and ensure that all players agree to the score. TOURNAMENT FORMAT Round Robin Format with groups of 4 teams. Each team is guaranteed to play 3 games. Each match will consist of one game played to 11 points, win by 1. At the conclusion of Round Robin play, the 4 teams from all the groups will compete in a semifinal and playoff game. This means the top 4 teams from the Social Bracket will compete against each other and the top 4 teams from the Competitive Bracket will compete against each other.(Prizes for top 3 teams in social and competitive brackets) DETERMINING THE WINNER The top four teams from each bracket are identified as the teams that earn the most points and give up the least amount of points. PLAYOFFS (1st vs 4th) and (2nd vs 3rd) from the Social Bracket will compete against each other in a Semifinal game. The winners from each Semifinal game will compete against each other in a Final Game and the other 2 teams will compete for 3rd place. This same format is followed for the Competitive Bracket. Game Format will be determined based upon remaining time available. Ideally, games will be played to 11, win by 2 points. OPEN PLAY The remaining courts will be available for Open Play for players that are not competing in the semifinal and playoff games. AWARDS Awards are announced by the Event Host or Tournament Director at the conclusion of all play with photo opportunities in front of our Winner Winner Chicken Dinner Mural located adjacent to the Check in Desk.
