Description

Whether you are in recovery or a recovery ally, this course will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to guide and mentor others through their own recovery process. This course is accepted by the OHA and MHACBO for both PSS and CRM certifications. Participants seeking certification must identify as a person in recovery with 2 years of recovery experience. (Currently MHACBO requires 1 year) Participants in this course will learn to: Describe the roles and functions of a recovery coach List the components, care values & guiding principles of recovery Build skills to enhance relationships Explore many dimensions of recovery & recovery coaching Discover attitudes about self-disclosure Understand the stages of recovery & stages of change Hear from many PSS/CRM workers within the community Increase awareness of culture, power & privilege Address ethical & boundary issues Incorporate trauma-informed care into a peer support approach Thank you for your passion to help others along their path of recovery!
