Christians, even while filled with the Holy Spirit, can still experience grief. Several biblical texts, such as the Psalms, Judges, 1 & 2 Kings reveal the human condition following traumatic events. David journeyed through grief after committing rape, murder, and losing his son. Samson battled shame after Delilah betrayed him. Elijah wrestled with suicidal thoughts after Jezebel's threatened him. Perhaps the one who experienced the threshold of human grief is our savior, Jesus, as he was being crucified (documented by the gospels). Life happens to everyone. Life happened to me...several times. God isn't afraid of our grief. In fact, in painful moments, He comforts and patiently journeys with us to the healing. This chapbook is a glimpse into my own grief journey as led by Holy Spirit.
