When experienced with the addition of Cacao, an ancient sacrament of South and Central America as well as the source of the world’s chocolate, the music’s power is amplified and becomes a journey into one’s self. Voxmana, the Intentional Dance Music duo of Natalia Clavier, former lead singer of Thievery Corporation, and Andrei Matorin, composer and virtuoso violinist, bring their world music background and humble reverence for the plant spirits to bear in this offering, taking listeners on this journey through vast soundscapes while honoring the sacred roots of cacao. Natalia’s vocals layer over Andrei’s melodies in otherworldly beauty, evoking the deep ability of Cacao to open one’s heart and consciousness of the divine. Cacao will be offered by Aradhana Silvermoon and Truth-I Manifest of Asheville’s own I,Star and Silvermoon Chocolate, who will also host and open the evening with songs and invocations.
