Come on out and have a good time! Henry for Music is proud to partner with City of Stockbridge Councilwoman Yolanda Barber to present a premiere concert event featuring Henry County school students studying the art of the violin. Henry For Music Teaching Artist and professional musician, Brooke Alford "The Artist of the Violin" will lead the first Henry For Music full cohort of After-school Enrichment Program student violinis from Red Oak Elementary School, Cotton Indian Elementary School, and Fairview Elementary School. They will play several musical selections including a special arrangement of "Twenty Two," a song composed by Brooke Alford. Opening the evening will be sounds of the HFM Quartet (Kevin Arney, Trombone; Kim Cloutman, Piano; Ignatius Hines, Saxophone; Chris Strickland, Guitar), followed by the Chorus Group of Cotton Indian Elementary School and Henry For Music's Youth Orchestra United. An awards and recognition ceremony with light refreshments will close out the evening. Community partner the Visual Arts Collective of the Henry Arts Alliance will feature several artists with pieces for sale.
