The TripsMay 23-24th: Shades State Park We will meet at 11AM on the 23rd. Location of meeting spot will be coordinated with staff. We will drive to Shades State Park which is about a 1.5-2-hour drive. We estimate to be home around 6PM on the 24th. July 25th-27th: Potato Creek State Park We will meet at 11AM on the 25th. Location of meeting spot will be coordinated with staff. We will drive to Potato Creek State Park which is about a 3-hour drive. We estimate to be home around 7PM on the 27th. August 21st-22nd: Paynetown Campground We will meet at Paynetown Campground 11AM on the 21st. *If transportation is required; we will make arrangements. We will spend the day on Monroe Lake and then go to the campground for the night. (If you choose to go to Monroe Lake, you do not have to stay the night on the campground. If you choose to camp for the night, you do not have to go to Monroe Lake.) November 2nd-3rd: Brown County State Park We will meet at Brown County State Park at 12PM on the 2nd. We will be able to access the campsites at 2PM. **When you select a ticket, it will have an end time and date. Select the ticket with the accurate start date of the trip you would like to attend. The dates for the trips listed above are the accurate times and dates. The times that are listed on the ticket are so you do not have to purchase multiple tickets for one trip. Cost for each camping trip: The Shades State Park trip and Brown County State Park trip will be a $15 fee for each individual attending. The Potato Creek State Park trip will be a $20 fee for each individual attending. The Paynetown Campground trip will be $25 for each individual. *This will also include the cost of boat rental. The fees will include all lodging, camping equipment (tents if you do not own one), all meals and drinks, and transportation. Meals for each camping trip: Breakfast - We will have Poptart's, eggs, granola bars and assorted fruit. Individuals can also make lunch meat sandwiches. Lunch - We will have lunch meat sandwiches (ham, turkey, or chicken), PB&J sandwiches, assorted fruit, granola bars, fruit snacks, and chips. Dinner - We will have hot dogs and/or hamburgers, baked beans, assorted fruit, granola bars, fruit snacks, and chips. Dessert - S'mores or cookies. **Assisted Independence must be notified of any dietary restrictions! If we are not notified before-hand, please provide any food/snacks that you may need for the trip. Email Denisa Nielsen at [email protected] for any restrictions. Agenda for each camping trip: When we arrive, we will set up tents for the night and have lunch. We will then explore around the campground. We will do group activities such as swimming, hiking and crafts. We will have dinner together and then have everyone shower at night if they would like. A staff member will be "on-call" throughout the night to assist anyone with anything throughout the night. In the morning, we will have breakfast, tear down tents and clean the campsite. We will take an afternoon hike and pack up the vehicles. We will drive back to the original meeting location, and everyone will be able to go home. To RSVP: If you plan to attend more than one of these programs, you will need to request a ticket to EACH program you plan to attend. 1. Go under "When and Where", to the "Date and Time" on the left side of the screen. 2. Select the "More Options" in blue. A dropbox will appear with all of the dates of the program. 3. Select the date of the program you want to attend. 4. Selct the number of tickets, and "Reserve a spot". 5. Fill out your name and email address. Then select "Register". 6. Complete this for EVERY date of the program you wish to attend.
