Description

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a 20-hour all hazard training offered by Morgan Hill and Gilroy Offices of Emergency Services. The training is designed for anyone to protect themselves, their family, their neighbors, and their neighborhood in an emergency. During this training residents will learn: Disaster Preparedness, Fire Safety, Disaster Medical Operations and Triage, Light Search and Rescue, Team Organization, Disaster Psychology, Terrorism, and the Incident Command System. This course will be taught in-person across two weekends (Friday-Saturday, and the following Saturday) and include hands-on elements in both indoor and outdoor settings. Remote attendance is not an option for this offering.
