Description

Space is limited to 25 people. Help protect our serpentine wildflower fields from the Goat Grass (Aegilops triuncialis) invasion. We need help hand-pulling this troublesome grass before it spreads further and further into our wildflower meadow. You will be rewarded with breathtaking views, a mini-wildflower tour of the grasslands by knowledgeable staff, and the satisfaction that comes from physical labor and visible impact. Bring plenty of drinking water and snacks as needed. Light refreshments will be provided. Regarding Covid-19: If you feel sick or if you have recently been exposed to anyone with a positive diagnosis, please stay home. Volunteers will meet our staff at the Gateway to Jenner Headlands parking lot off Highway 1. We will then all drive through our locked gate and into the Preserve to access our work area.
