Join us for the Second Saturday ride in May as we tour Pasadena African American History sites with NAACP Pasadena Branch president Allen Edson. Details are still in the works, but we anticipate visiting sites including the 210 freeway and 710 freeway stub, where significant displacement of people of color occurred to make way for the freeway construction. This will be a new route, not the walking routes from past tours. Total distance will be approximately 12 miles and the terrain will be mostly flat. We recommend bringing water, snacks, sunscreen, and a spare tube that fits the tires on your bike. A LIMITED NUMBER of GoSGV e-bikes will be available for participants to borrow. You must be 18 or older to borrow a GoSGV bike. You can request a bike when selecting your tickets. Bikes will be reserved on a first come first served basis. The Bicycling Tour of Pasadena African American History is a collaboration of Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition, the NAACP Pasadena Branch, and Day One.
