RED Day (Renew, Energize, and Donate) is an initiative dedicated to celebrating Keller Williams Realty's year-round commitment to improving our local communities. Each year, on the second Thursday in May, tens of thousands of associates from across the United States and Canada participate in a wide range of projects, devoting their time to renewing and energizing aspects of the neighborhoods in which they serve. This year we will be supporting our community by donating our time and efforts to Place of Hope - Villages of Hope Campus at 3551 Burma Circle, Lake Park Place of Hope is a neighborhood-style foster home. We work with the state of Florida to provide stable, loving homes to kids and teens ages 4 -18 who have been placed in the foster system. Our family-style cottages house 6 children with one set of house parents. Place of Hope is part of the larger foster-care system in the state of Florida. Children in the foster-care system are removed from their homes largely due to abuse, neglect, and unsafe living conditions. When children are removed, they are placed with relatives, traditional foster parents, or neighborhood foster homes like ours until the state deems it safe to reunite them with their biological families or until they are adopted.
