The Nu Beta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. cordially invites all progressive community organizations, church congregations, faith groups, civic activists and organizations, local political leaders and those seeking office, local entrepreneurs and business professionals, and members of the NPHC/Divine 9 to Stroll to the Polls during the final early voting period in Jacksonville’s unitary elections, Saturday May 13th, 1-5pm.
Bring the family, tailgate chairs, and tents, and don’t worry about food—Carolina Chicken’s (black-owned business) got you covered! Enjoy family-friendly music played by DJ King Ron and even a couple of performances by local music artists. News media will be invited to cover this one-of-a-kind event, so please share the word and meet us there!
This election will determine who the next mayor of Jacksonville will be, in addition to other important offices in city and state government, and beyond. We will be set up directly across from the Legends Center, where anyone with a valid ID who is registered as an active voter can go and cast their ballot, then come enjoy the fun right across the street. If you’re not registered to vote or know someone who will be by February 20, 2024, you can come out and get registered to participate in next year’s Presidential Election!
